Two sessions of this very popular workshop were held this spring. One session involved 41 adult students from the Mason Centre. 11 local employers were dazzled by the expertise and backgrounds of the participants and the event was an incredible success for both employers and attendees. This session will be an annual event with adults enrolled at the Mason Centre.

The second session was held at the Holiday Inn Select. More than 20 mentors spent the morning with high school students who are getting ready to join the workforce. Much beneficial knowledge was exchanged and students and mentors alike look forward to this annual event.

Spring 2008 will see the addition of one more session to be held in the county area as transportation is difficult for many of the county schools that try to attend the city sessions.

 The manual, produced  through collaboration of the Guelph Career Education Council, Net Success Inc. and the South Western Ontario Industry Education Council, is used in conjunction with community mentors to help students, youth and immigrants develop essential skills required for success
